I needed to decide on the size that I could cope with. My first idea was that it could fit on my dining table but this wasn't large enough for the basic set that I had bought. So I had to buy a baseboard. I felt that a size of 2 metres x 1 metre was the maximum the flat could cope with. Finding a local company to provide 6mm MDF was hopeless and eventually a company from Sussex delivered two square metres which I then joined together using battens from my old futon. I could then lift this on to the dining table, not easy.
