My early attempts were straight out of my head. A couple were made from solid balsa. But I then moved on to a timber frame construction, some had lap joints , others even had pegs. I was content with these but I couldn't get the scale correct until I discovered Metcalfe models, I have included one of terraced houses for comparison.
This is the top of a mountain, the tunnels were Pringles tubes underneath, it had to go, I couldn't get to the trains if they derailed!
